September 12, 2015, trolling for whatever lurks beneath the surface (lake trout?, walleye?, bass?, northern pike?). We were camped on McIntyre Island. We buy 8-day conservation licenses so we're limited to 6 bass (3 guys) smaller than 35 cm (13.8") in length (we don't kill largemouth) so, fish tacos. Nothing like fresh lemons and avocados half-way through a 9-day trip.

I love fish tacos AND I like that campsite too. And September in the Quetico. Add it all up and fantastic!

Actually I have been told that size limit is only in effect until June 30. We never keep the big ones anyway.
